What sort of repertoire does the Pianobar band play?
We capture the essence of 1950s Italian-American culture, starting with the sophistication of jazz and blues to set the mood, then building the energy until we finish with the rock ’n’ roll classics that get people of all ages dancing. From Sinatra to Chuck Berry, Nina Simone, Ray Charles and the unforgettable Renato Carosone, we want to give you a stylish and high-energy live performance with a real connection between the band and your guests.
How long does the service/performance last?

You can customise the service to suit your preferences. We offer the option of including live music only, although the full experience really stands out for its originality.

If we book the Pianobar for our wedding, can the musicians perform at the ceremony as well?
Yes, we have a special repertoire to provide musical accompaniment for the ceremony, usually piano and vocals, although you can add other musicians to the line-up. With enough notice, we can play your favourite songs, even if they aren’t in our repertoire.
Can we request songs that aren’t in the repertoire?
Although Pianobar has a set catalogue of songs, we are happy to include a specific song in the live set if requested in advance, so our musicians can rehearse it beforehand.
Do I need any additional technical equipment to book the Pianobar?
No. We bring all the equipment needed for the performance: sound, instruments and stage set-up. We only need access to a power supply and a flat surface measuring 2x3m to set up.
In which cities is the Pianobar service available?
Like the minstrels of old, we are wanderers. We travel far and wide by land, sea and air. We have made sure all our devices and equipment are portable. We mainly offer our services from Barcelona and Madrid, but are happy to travel to other towns and countries.
How far in advance should I book the Pianobar for my event?
There is no minimum booking period, but we recommend booking as far in advance as possible to ensure availability of dates and musicians, especially if the event is on a Saturday in spring or summer.
However, we also cover urgent requests if we are available.
Is the Pianobar suitable for corporate events?
It is perfect for corporate events, product launches, trade fairs and business meetings. The combination of live music and cocktails is the perfect way to impress and connect with customers or staff. We offer a mobile bar that doubles as a piano, with musicians performing for 90 minutes while serving cocktails, accompanied by a DJ who remixes tracks live that were originally recorded in the studio by the Pianobar musicians themselves. We take care of the entire set-up.
What is the difference between Pianobar and Electronic Pianobar?
Unlike the classic Pianobar, the electronic version has a DJ instead of drums to play our backing tracks (recorded in the studio) for the pianist, singer and saxophonist/trumpeter, creating sounds such as electro-swing –highly danceable rhythms.
What sort of repertoire does the Electronic Pianobar band perform?
It’s a cross between a concert and a DJ set. The Electronic Pianobar repertoire blends traditional genres such as swing, jazz, blues and bossa nova with more contemporary electronic beats.

JUKEBOX
What does the Jukebox service include?
Two singers perform songs live over backing tracks recorded in the studio by our production company’s own musicians. The music plays from an authentic retro jukebox, created by the ingenious minds at Pianobar Productions. Attendees can get involved by selecting their favourite songs from the repertoire on the machine.
How do guests interact with the machine?
Visitors insert a coin and select a song from the catalogue. The chosen song is performed live on the spot by a duo.
Is it really coin operated?
Yes, we have created our own updated version of the old machines, which retains the coin-operated mechanism to recreate the atmosphere of the 1960s and 1970s.
What if the guests are shy and don’t use the machine?
If the guests are shy, there’s no need to worry: the singers subtly encourage them to break the ice, approaching guests to invite them to join in or simply putting on a live performance that keeps the energy going without forcing interaction.
Is the music recorded or live?
It’s a combination. The singers perform the songs live, using backing tracks recorded in the studio by the Pianobar musicians themselves, which are played through the vintage jukebox.
Can I arrange for additional musicians for my event?
Our standard line-up is two singers who entertain the guests and explain how the service works while performing the songs. We can also expand the band to include a piano and drums, so the music will be performed entirely live, although the format will remain the same and the songs will be selected from the jukebox.
What musical genres can you choose from?
The repertoire focuses on the golden age of the jukebox, from the 1940s to the mid-1960s, including jazz (in the style of Ella Fitzgerald), soul (Etta James), classic rock ’n’ roll (Little Richard) and swing.
What space and equipment are required?
The Jukebox is our most compact musical performance. All it requires is space for the vintage machine – approximately 1 m² – and a power supply. It doesn’t take much!
Where is the Jukebox service available?
We’re always on the move. We travel everywhere by land, sea and air. We have made sure all our devices and equipment are portable. We mainly offer our services from Barcelona and Madrid, but are happy to travel to other towns and countries.

CABIN CREW

How do you get around the event? Is it suitable for any location?
The service uses genuine aircraft trolleys that have been turned into mobile bars. They can move among the guests or remain in a fixed location. The compact, portable design means you can take it anywhere, indoors or out.
What sort of cocktails do you serve?
We can make classic cocktails, specific drinks (such as gin and tonics) or tailor the mixes to suit the customer’s taste. Given the size of the trolleys, and to make sure the service is lively and high quality, one or two cocktails are selected in advance from an extensive menu. However, if you’d like any that aren’t listed, we can make those too. Our favourite is the Paper Plane Cocktail.

DON OSTRA

This service includes French oysters from the Atlantic Ocean, and oyster shuckers dressed in traditional Breton sailor’s attire who shuck and serve the oysters fresh. It includes a variety of Don Ostra signature condiments.
Where do the oysters come from?
We mainly serve French oysters classified as ‘Huîtres Spéciales’, imported directly from the Saint-Malo area in Brittany. We usually work with a specific size, typically Oyster No. 3. This is the ‘medium’ size (approx. 66 g to 85 g), which is considered the most popular and perfect for quick tastings at events.
How are they served?
Try a raw oyster first. You can then dress it with lemon juice, Tabasco, ponzu, black pepper, raspberry vinegar, gin and tonic and/or Bloody Mary.
Is there a set number of oysters per guest?
You can book this service for both small gatherings and large celebrations. We calculate 1.5 oysters per guest. Although you decide on the total number, our oyster shuckers open an average of 150 oysters in 90 minutes, so the more oysters you order, the more oyster shuckers you need.
Can I combine several services?
Yes, you can combine the Don Ostraservice with other services offered by Pianobar Productions. We call this Mix&Match. For example, we think Don Ostra and the Jazz Club make a unique, sophisticated combination.
In which cities is the Don Ostra service available?
Don Ostra can reach any city or country by land, sea or air.
What space and equipment are required?
The service is mobile (we move around among the guests). We just need a small space nearby, but out of the main spotlight, to leave our things. We have our own bin for collecting the shells at the end of the service.
How long does it take to set up?
We don’t need much time to get ready, but we like to arrive an hour before service starts to get our belts and tools ready… and we’re all set!
Is it a self-contained service?
Yes, the oyster shuckers are fully equipped (with a sailor suit, tool belt and condiments) and mingle with the guests, so they don’t need a dedicated kitchen area.
What if I want a permanent oyster stall at the event?

MISS CAVIAR
What does the Miss Caviar service include?
Our standard service includes caviar, vodka, thermal water and the service provided by our elegant Miss Caviar hostesses, who wear distinctive uniforms that evoke the folklore of the Caucasus.
Where does the caviar come from?
We use high-quality caviar produced in Spain by the Granada-based company Riofrío, which is certified organic. We usually have two types available: Naccarii (a species native to the Mediterranean, grey and satiny) and Ossetra (native to the Danube, with pearly hues).
Why do you eat caviar from your hand?
It is served on the back of the hand, in the traditional manner, as this is a neutral surface that does not alter the flavour (unlike metal) and lets the caviar reach body temperature, which is perfect for expressing all its nuances, before you eat it.
What role does vodka play?
A small shot is served to cleanse the palate of previous flavours and prepare the taste buds for the intensity of the caviar.
How are the grams per person calculated?
Depending on the length of the event and the number of guests, we calculate how many grams of caviar to serve. You can add more Miss Caviars for your event.
Is it suitable for any location?
Like Don Ostra and the rest of the Pianobar Productions services, this is a self-contained service that requires no kitchen facilities or permanent set-up, meaning it can be held both indoors and out, from country cottages to sophisticated lofts, as well as on boats, in art galleries, gardens or at award ceremonies, among other venues.
Can I combine several services?
Yes, you can combine the Miss Caviar service with other services offered by Pianobar Productions. We call this Mix&Match. It is very common to book this alongside the Don Ostra service.
In which cities is the Miss Caviar service available?
All our services reach any city or country, by land, air or sea.
